Taroko Development, a subsidiary of Taroko Fiber (1432), joined hands with Suzuka International Circuit in Japan to create a large-scale complex shopping mall with the theme of leisure sports “Taroko Caoya Road”, which will hold a press conference of “Taroko Caoya Road and Suzuka Circuit Park” tomorrow (6th), and Xu Junqi, executive vice president of Daluge Development, estimates that it will be opened at the end of 2015 and early 2016 at the earliest, which is bound to drive domestic and foreign sightseeing and leisure business opportunities.
Lin Man-Li, chairman of Taroko Fiber, pointed out that in recent years, Taroko has transformed from the textile industry to real estate development, and actively activated its own land assets, laid out commercial real estate and sightseeing and leisure business, and the most watched is the development of Kaohsiung MRT South Machinery Factory Park.
Joined hands with Kaohsiung City Government
At the end of 2012, Daluge Development signed a contract with Kaohsiung MRT and Kaohsiung Municipal Government to acquire a 35-year land lease right, aiming to build the first low-density street-building large-scale shopping mall and amusement park in Taiwan.
Hsu Yung-Chang said that the first phase of investment of more than NT$ 3.5 billion, has entered the stage of capital review, is expected to get the construction license at the end of this year, start construction early next year, and officially open at the end of 2015 and early 2016 at the earliest.
Hsu Yung-Chang emphasized that the case also cooperated with Japan’s Suzuka International Circuit and introduced the Suzuka Circuit operated by Honda, which not only symbolizes the two-pronged development of land development and tourism industry, but also the first Taiwan-Japan tourism industry cooperation project.
The Taroko battling cage will be stationed
Hsu Yung-Chang said that in addition to the car theme amusement park, it has signed contracts with Guobin Cinemas, French businessman Decathlon clothing, Kaohsiung local gym brand “Fitness Factory”, etc., and the self-operated Taroko battling cage will also be stationed, which is bound to become a paradise for friends and children of all sizes.
In addition to inviting Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Ju, representatives of Gaojie Company and President of Japan’s Suzuka Group Hiroshi Tsengda to attend the meeting, Suzuka Group mascots Kukira and Kilara will also attend the meeting.
Focus on real estate development
In addition to this playground, Taroko has purchased 890 pings of land in Shilin Beitou Science and Technology Park for 366 million yuan in 2010, and the project is expected to be redivided back to about 400 pings of land in 2016, when it will be considered for residential, commercial or industrial use, hoping to bring more industrial benefits.
Lin Man-Li, chairman of Taroko, pointed out a few days ago that in order to enable the company’s successful transformation, Wu Xiuguang, former vice mayor of Taipei City, and Lian Shengwen, former chairman of Taipei Uyou Card Company, were specially invited as directors this year, hoping to enhance the momentum of real estate development and add another highlight to the operation of Taroko.
